Treasury Board of Canada IT Asset Disposition Guidance

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) Directive on Service and Digital, supplemented by IT Asset Disposition guidance, sets the operational expectation for federal department ITAD engagements. Maxicom federal engagements are structured to satisfy TBS guidance in admissible form, with cleared-operator protocols, on-site or cleared-area destruction options, and certificate formats that PSPC procurement reviews accept.

TBS Directive scope

The Directive on Service and Digital (2020) covers federal IT operations including disposition. ITAD specifically addressed in the supplementary guidance: asset categorisation, sanitisation per ITSG-33, environmental disposition, settlement to the Receiver General.

Federal engagement model

PSPC procurement is the typical channel; federal RFPs reference both ITSG-33 and TBS guidance. Programme-level engagements with cleared-operator protocols, witness destruction standard, sovereign-data-residency strict.

Settlement to Receiver General

Where federal-asset disposition produces refurb-resale revenue, settlement is to the Receiver General per federal financial procedures. Maxicom Canada is structured for this settlement model.
